I’ll bet you didn’t get THIS for Mother’s Day…
How was your Mother’s Day?
Mine was very nice, thanks for asking. The weekend started of with a bang when LJ and I attended the Mother/Son bowling night hosted by his school. We had so much fun and not a single bowling ball was dropped on any toes, which I think qualifies as a success! LJ and all of his friends had a great time hurling the very large and heavy balls down the lanes – thank goodness for bumpers!
Sunday morning, I was ordered back to bed when I arose at the too-early hour of seven and was treated to cards, chocolates, and coffee. Yay!
Big J then made a wonderful brunch for my parents, his parents, and my SIL. Even better, he cleaned ALL the bathrooms, the kitchen, and vacuumed before they came over. I could easily get used to this!
We had a relaxing family day before my last gift was revealed last night.
PINK-EYE.
I’m not sure who it is from, but I’d love to present the giver with a proper “Thank You”! In the meantime, my left eye is just about swollen shut today.
I’m making the best of it – I’ve scared off a pair lawn service salesmen who rang my bell and I’m pretty sure the UPS man thinks I was winking at him while I was trying to sign my name for a package.
Oh well. Happy Day After Mother’s Day, everyone.
It sounded great up to the pink eye.
Eek! Sorry about the pink eye! But good job Big J and Little J on taking care of Mom!!
Oh, bummer. Hope you are feeling better soon. Is your UPS guy cute at least?! 🙂
hi! new follower!
pink eye is never a good present. no matter what the holiday.
My 14 year old son always jokes that you will get pink eye if someone farts on your pillow…hmmmmm…
Oh no! What an awful gift! Stopping in from Wisconsin Bloggers! Nice to meet a fellow WI friend!
It is nice to hear moms being treated special on their special day. Gifts and good deeds become even more special when the whole family is gathered together to enjoy this special day.:-) Sorry about your pink-eye though.
