Walgreens Way to Well Health Tour Hits Milwaukee

The older I get, the more I realize that the key to staying healthy is prevention and early detection.  Gone are the days when I could carelessly assume that everything was working the way it should and that I was years away from any kind of health concerns.

The folks at Walgreens realize that people are more likely to take the kinds of tests that identify potential problems if they are provided easy access to those tests.  Hence, the Walgreens Way to Health Tour!

The Walgreens Way to Well Health Tour with AARP is a community outreach program that will be in and around Milwaukee beginning 7/12 (tomorrow!!)  through 8/4 providing free health tests, educational materials and consultations.  The national mobile tour focuses on prevention and early detection of today’s leading diseases: heart disease, diabetes and cancer.

The free health tests provided include:
  • Cholesterol
  • Glucose
  • Blood Pressure
  • Body Mass Index
  • Body Composition
  • Skeletal Muscle
  • Reseting Metabolism
  • Visceral Fat
  • Real Body Age
The tests are valued at over $100 and only take about 20 minutes to complete.  Anyone 18 and older is encouraged to visit the tour – no appointment or insurance is necessary.  Seriously – how much easier can it get???? Visit to find your nearest tour stop location.

We know you want to help! Can’t make it out to visit the tour? You can still contribute to this community outreach campaign by purchasing Walgreens brand health and wellness products!  1¢ from the purchase of each product, up to $3 million annually, will support brining preventative wellness services to local communities through the Walgreens Way to Well Fund®. What a great way to support the effort by doing something you needed to anyways.

This post is brought to you in partnership with Walgreens. As always, all opinions expressed are my own.
