Can the Eureka AirSpeed ONE Keep Up with Our Summer Dirt?? #AirSpeedONE
I love summer, really I do. But my floors? Um, not so much. Summer means gardening, fresh cut grass, flowers, splashing in the pool and lots of in-and-out through the slider door. (And lots of stuff tracked back in through that slider door.) Gardening means dirt, lots of dirt. Fresh cut grass has a way of getting tracked all through the house and is especially bad when wet feet from the pool are finding their way down the hall to the bathroom. And while I love flowers, those of us with summer allergies kind of wish those pretty flowers would keep their pollen outside!

While my vacuum cleaner gets a pretty good workout in the winter keeping up with all of the dust (where does all that come from anyways???), it’s nothing compared to the use it gets in the summer. So when my vacuum started making a weird noise just as the warmer days were upon us, I figured I’d better not wait until it was completely dead and I had a house full of grass to go shopping.
The best vacuum I’ve ever had was a Eureka, so I admit upfront that I am a bit partial to the brand. I headed off to Walmart with my crew and checked out what they had to offer. We really liked the Eureka AirSpeed ONE for a number of reasons. It’s super light weight – even LJ was able to move it around with ease. (I guess we’ll see if that continues once the novelty has worn off, right?)
Second, the Eureka AirSpeed ONE was on Rollback at Walmart for just $47.92. Yep – less than $50!
Third, the vacuum was super easy to assemble. I know that shouldn’t be a factor when rating a vacuum, but I’ve had more appliances where I was all excited to use them but then needed a Masters in Engineering to figure out how to put them together. Not this time! Don’t believe me? Just check out this video showing how easy it is to assemble.
Lastly, I knew because it was a Eureka that it would do what I needed it to and would last. My last Eureka lasted me over 10 years. It eventually became kind of outdated since it had a bag (remember those??) but was a total power house when it came to fighting dirt.
Now I feel ready to go tackle that grass all over. I may just wait by the slider and then follow people around the house with the vacuum, picking up the grass as it drops off of their feet. The Eureka is certainly light enough that I could do that! Sadly, vacuuming will no longer count toward my upper body workouts, but that’s okay. Pollen won’t stand a chance against me now – no more hiding deep down in the carpet. Nope, MY family will be breathing easy.

And the Eureka AirSpeed ONE was so easy for him to use!
If you’d like a Eureka AirSpeed ONE to battle your summer messes, you should probably hurry down to your local Walmart (or grab one online) – they were disappearing pretty quickly at the ones around here! You can also connect with Eureka on Facebook and Twitter.

Roofus is adorable! The carpet looks great – and under $50.00?! Wow!
This looks like a great vacuum to have around! We fight a never ending battle keeping dog hair off the floor.
What amazing before and after pictures!!
