My Maytag Bravos Washer and Dryer (An Update)

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Maytag. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating.
It’s hard to believe that’s it’s been over a year since I started the Maytag Moms program and received the Bravos XL washer and dryer. I wrote a lot about all of the different features the Bravos have and how much fun it was discovering all of them.
You know it usually is with new things – the excitement usually wears off as time goes on. Especially with something as functional as appliances. I have to admit – I’m still as in love with the Bravos XL set as I was when I first got them. Maybe even more so because I’ve had some time to really see what this pair can do.
The features came in really handy at the end of the summer. LJ had a huge growth spurt that had him outgrowing many of the shorts he had been wearing all summer. Around here, that can present a bit of a challenge as it can stay warm through October, yet I’m not thrilled with buying new shorts that will only be worn for a month and them be outgrown before next summer.
That’s where the Bravos XL washer and dryer came in super handy. Because the washer does such a great job cleaning clothes even on the quick cycle AND uses less water, I didn’t feel guilty running the few pair of shorts through the wash more often since I knew I wasn’t wasting a ton of water or time.
I’ve also noticed that my clothes have less fading over time. I’m not sure if that is because I’ve been using the cold wash cycle more (since it actually gets my clothes clean now!) or if it’s a result of less friction on the clothes because of the absence of an agitator. I don’t care so much WHY they are fading less, I’m just happy they are!
I’ve had so many people ask me if I really recommend the Maytag Bravos XL. They kind of whisper under their breath “Off the record, do you really like it?” I can say definitively (both on and off the record) YES! I am still loving my Maytag washer and dryer.
These look like nice machines, I wish I could test drive one of the fancy models. 😉
love reading the update. Sometimes after a year people have different opinions. You hardly ever hear those. But these post makes me confident that I too can recommend that I know someone who owns them and she loves them. hopefully one day we’ll replace our old set and I’ll remember this review
